Mountain biking in Vorarlberg

Geared up to start the biking holiday with a passion

Hot wheels on the mountain bike while in Vorarlberg. Splashes on the frame from the muddy trail. A big grin on the face. Those are the signs of a real freeride and downhill adventure in the Brandner Valley Bike Park.

Biker versus mountain is the name of the challenge on the 3.5 kilometre long, light flowline, moderate freeride trail and on the 3 kilometre long competition grade downhill trail. Banked curves, wooden obstacles, north shores, root passages all provide that special kick for beginners and competition riders alike.

In order to achieve the right speed and the cool style on the trails, the professionals at the Gravity Academy will help improve the riding style and safety of all mountain bikers.

There are more adrenalin kicks to be had on the super single trails in Vorarlberg – the longest, on the Mutterberg mountain in Bludenz, offers 4.5 kilometres of varying downhill and freeride sections..

It's not only the downhills but also the uphills that provide sporting highlights here in the Brandner Valley. Along 110 kilometres of signposted trails you'll be riding from peak to peak. Between them you can rest in the Alpine huts before heading to the next summit. Hot wheels are guaranteed here too.

The Walliserhof is the perfect home for bikers thanks to its bike service and the limitless mountain bike thrills in Vorarlberg. The Vorarlberger professional cycling team is regularly here with us.

Mountain biking tour tips
Clear your mind while biking in the Brandner Valley

You can transport your bikes with public buses and cables cars and therefore be totally flexible when it comes to starting a tour.

If you would like to overcome the first climbs using the cable cars, the village cable car in Brand will take you close to the Parpfienzalpe and the connecting panorama lift will take you to the Burtschasattel at an altitude of 1,680 metres. From there you can, for example, bike across the Parpfienzsattel and the Garselli Joch to the Mondspitzsattel. An easy tour full of Alpine experiences.

Or maybe you'd prefer to athletically fight your way up the climbs – perhaps because the challenge can free the mind. How about the Brandner Valley tour? 30 kilometres long and full of amazing views ...

Further tour recommendations are available in the cycling and mountain biking flyer, on the interactive tour map and of course from us – after all, we have two qualified bike guides on the Walliserhof team.

Road and e-bikes
With legwork and engine power through the Alps

On the road bike along the Alpine passes and canyons towards new energy. Racing bike tours in Vorarlberg have plenty to offer: amazing valleys, sections on the flat, stunning mountain passes ...

Loischkopf, Mondspitz & Co are wonderfully beautiful but also impressively high and the trails for cycling are sometimes really quite steep. Anyone in Brand who hires an e-bike will be riding almost effortlessly through the Brandner Valley with the help of a motor. For e-bikers we recommend the easy Loischkopf tour or the challenging Brandner Valley round trip. Charging stations are available in the Brandner Valley on the Alpe Rona, the inner Parpfienz-Alpe as well as on the Brüggele Alpe.
