Location: 1050 m above sea level, the oldest health resort of the Vorarlberg is situated in the heart of the Raetikon mountain range, between the Western state of Voralberg, Swiss Graubuenden and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

The Walser village (the Walser being Brand natives, who arrived from the Swiss canton of Wallis in the 14th century), nestling between the meadows and forests of the sunny valley, is protected by spectacular mountains, dominated by the 2965 m high Scesaplana and the Brand glacier. The Lake Luener is 2000 m above sea level. The village has 700 inhabitants and 2200 guest beds.

Brand is situated 11 km from Bludenz station (with fast trains to Arlberg Westrampe, Lake Constance, Zurich – Feldkirch – Bludenz – Arlberg – Innsbruck) and can be reached via a regular bus service (6 – 8 times daily) in 30 minutes, or by car in 20 minutes depending on road conditions.
