Beautifully embedded into the mountainside, the first 18-hole course in the Vorarlberg was designed by the architect Kurt Rossknecht in the area around Riefensberg and Sulzberg. Artificial lakes and purposefully positioned bunkers complement the natural obstacles, which - in combination with hillsides and slopes – turn this course into an outstanding golfing experience.

The highest situated golf club of the Vorarlberg, the golf club Silvretta, is located in Partenen, shortly before the tollbooth for the Silvretta High Alpine Road. The GC Montfort Rankweil is situated in the heart of the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley. The 5th, a 149-metre Par 3, and the 9th, a 489-metre Par 5, will certainly get the adrenalin flowing of any golfer, who is afraid of water. These two greens are located on an island in the midst of one of the two large ponds of this course.
